Why Give
We believe in giving as ordained by God through tithing and free-will offerings, not just to meet the material needs of the church but to uplift spiritual morale. Malachi 3:10 emphasizes the blessings that come from bringing tithes to God’s house.
Luke 6:38 encourages generous giving, promising abundance in return. As joint heirs with God, we find joy in contributing to His kingdom. II Corinthians 9:7 stresses cheerful giving based on individual purpose, not obligation. Our giving reflects love and honor for God, mirroring His love for us, exemplified in John 3:16 – where God’s love is demonstrated through the gift of His Son.
In essence, giving is an expression of love in action, a principle echoed in the idea that one can give without loving, but one cannot love without giving.
